Realistic Fiction

Unit Overview: In this unit I studied and practiced the process of planning and drafting a piece of realistic fiction. You brainstormed story ideas, and practiced writing techniques in your Writer’s Notebook, such as writing effective dialogue, using elaboration, crafting strong leads and conclusions, etc. Your final product was a published Realistic Fiction story.

What are the elements that make a story realistic fiction?
- The fact that it need to be possible not like it had a alien.
What are the steps I should follow when writing a story?
- Anything because it a fiction but realistic.

Reflection on Progress Towards the Standards:

Strengths: Write a realistic fiction story with an interesting lead, organized plot, developed characters, transitions, elaboration, dialogue, and a satisfying conclusion.

Areas for Improvement: Production and Distribution of Writing:Use the writing process (planning, drafting, revising, editing) to produce a coherent narrative, appropriate for task and audience; use technology to publish writing.
